Tarot Reading

Tarot reading is an ancient art of divination gifted to us by our forefathers. Tarot reading involves the use of a set of cards which bear some mythical pictures.

A tarot deck consists of 78 cards. The picture on each of these cards has a unique design. These cards are usually divided into two unequal parts. They are termed as two sets of mysteries or secrets called Arcana.

A tarot card is basically a historic artifact that helps the intuitive process of a psychic tarot reader. The archetypal images on the tarot cards trigger the psychic imagination of a tarot reader so that he can uncover and understand the events of the past, present and the future life.

A tarot card presents an idea through the image on it. The idea provokes strong emotional response. It can lead to meditation and help in creative thinking. A deck of tarot card does not simply consist of papers, but it is a collection of ideas that represent numerous fundamental principles of esoteric philosophy.

A tarot reader tries to interpret and relate the pictures or the symbols on the cards in such a way as to provide a coherent and meaningful reading about what is known and unknown.

Some people believe that the tarot readers receive the meanings and interpretations of the symbols from the higher spirit guides or higher spiritual self.

The pictures on major Arcana in the cards represent opportunities for growing and expanding the spiritual awareness. They enable the seekers to learn from this world and reality, themes, messages and basic universal issues. Many tarot readers believe that the Major Arcana reveals how the humanity evolved from the primordial soup to the disciplined and orderly life that we now live.

The Major Arcana also depicts how the human consciousness emerged from the world of unconsciousness. The pictures of gods and goddesses symbolize how we came from the unknown world of unconsciousness to this present world of consciousness, or, from darkness to light.
