Psychic Medium

With ever-increasing grip of spiritualism in our world today, often we hear words such as ‘psychics’, ‘psychic mediums’, and the like, all around us. We even hear people frequently turning in to psychic mediums for comfort, safety, advice, and consolation. Hence, a question crops up in our minds—who are these magicians called ‘psychic mediums’ who seem to have answers to our problems and who work with us, turning our wishes into realities.

The history of psychic mediums can be traced back to many years; however, their popularity increased only with passing time.
Psychic mediums, according to research, are people who have special powers and abilities to sense things and spirits and hence, are able to communicate with the ‘spirit world’ in different ways. And this process of calling or communicating with our loved ones is known as ‘channeling’.

Mediums work on the belief that there exists a spirit world where people live after crossing the realm of life on earth as mundane beings, and this world can be perceived, sensed, and even communicated using special psychic powers.

When we lose a loved one, often we feel lost. It is here that psychic mediums step into our lives and provide essential information about our loved one, helping us to cope up with our loss. Although communication with a loved one doesn’t necessarily make-up for our loss, but it does assuage our grief in subtle ways.

People often turn to psychic mediums when they are uncertain about important things in their lives too. Psychic mediums do possess powers to look into our future and advice us properly to bring us back to the right track in our lives.

By tuning in to the energy and signals emitted from the spirit world, psychic mediums sense vibrations, interpret them, and finally, transmit the meaningful messages to us. Spirits usually communicate thoughts to the medium, who in turn communicate those thoughts to us.

Normally, psychic mediums convey messages in two ways. First, they immediately recognize the spirit and convey thoughts from it to us, which may include things about our past or current affairs. Second, mediums may talk about different things in our lives and then move on to get advice and other messages from the spirit.

Psychic mediums usually specialize in one or two of the various psychic abilities, which include:

• clairvoyance, or the ability to see things which we cannot see with our eyes;
• clairsentience, or the ability to perceive feelings of others which we cannot feel;
• clairaudience, or the ability to hear things which we cannot hear with our ears; and
• intuition, or the special ability by which they can know whether something is right or wrong.

Some other special abilities also include telepathy, which helps to read minds, and telekinesis, which helps to move objects using the power of the mind. While some psychic mediums possess the aforementioned powers or abilities from birth, others develop and hone their powers much later in life. Not only can psychic mediums work face-to-face, but they can also communicate and work over phones, letters, and even emails. Research states that the best places to find psychic mediums are spiritualist churches, psychic fairs, magazines, and local papers.

Psychic mediums play an important part in our lives, helping us to cope up with our loss and lessening our anxiety by communicating thoughts from our loved ones to us. A temporary link with the spirit world, psychic mediums work by our side as our best friends, understanding our grief and helping in adding a smile to our faces.
